Signature Dishes/Best Known For
Since 1931 the Milano Café has been proud to introduce new and flavorful dishes to the Lima area. Over the years we have developed a cross culinary talent of combining European elegance and American Comfort into each dish that we prepare. Our Menu provides a wide variety of classic Italian and American cuisine that only calls for the use of the freshest ingredients and finest meats.
Suggested Signature Dishes:
Calamari Grigorio – Sicilian seasoned calamari, quick fried, and tossed with pepperoncini peppers, fresh garlic and imported olive oil.
Mozzarella Marinara – Imported mozzarella, had cut and breaded and fried to a golden brown.
Balsamic Black and Bleu Salad – Gourmet greens tossed with dried cranberries, chopped granny smith apples and walnuts. The salad is topped with sliced USDA Choice blackened sirloin and bleu cheese crumbles.
Linguini with White Clam Sauce – Imported linguini tossed with an aromatic homemade clam sauce giving off full flavors from fresh clams, white wine, and Italian herbs
Lasagna Milano – Seven layers of stacked lasagna noodles, loaded with ground beef and mushrooms, and baked with mozzarella, provolone and Romano cheeses.
Grilled Salmon Limone – Fresh Pacific Coast salmon broiled to perfection and brushed with our signature lemon and sweet red pepper sauce.
Mediterranean Pan Fried Walleye – Fresh Lake Erie walleye filet dusted in our homemade Sicilian flour and pan fried in imported olive oil. Accompanied by asiago whipped potatoes and fresh sautéed vegetables.
Stuffed Chicken Parmesan – Fresh chicken breast stuffed with ricotta, mozzarella, and provolone cheeses, Italian breaded, pan fried and topped with marinara and mozzarella. Accompanied with pasta marinara.
Veal Picatta – pounded veal dipped in a unique Italian egg batter, sautéed with mushrooms and capers in a light lemon butter sauce. Served with angel hair alfredo.
